The East CoastCala Rajada
One of the larger
resorts on Mallorca’s east coast, Cala Rajada has some wonderful

Hotel Casa Bauza
This modern
four-story L-shaped hotel is just 200 metres from the port at Cala
Rajada, and some 15 minutes away from the beach. The hotel has both
single and double rooms, all of which come with a bathroom and a
balcony. The hotel’s outdoor pool is a good size and is surrounded
by a sunny terrace with sun loungers.
The bar-cafeteria
is open from 12am to 2pm and has a TV. The restaurant serves a
buffet breakfast and dinner (which includes a vegetarian option).
Once a week the hotel puts on evening entertainment, be it live
music or a typical Mallorcan night complete with sangria and folk
dancing.

Hotel Vista Pinar
A large standard
two star hotel, Hotel Vista Pinar is right in the middle of town,
just 100 metres from Cala Rajada’s port. The modern designed rooms
are all en-suite - the better ones have a balcony with a sea view.
The large pool has a pleasant terrace and a poolside bar where you
can get a snack or a drink. There is another bar/lounge inside the
hotel. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Or, as you are so near the heart of Cala Rajada, you could try one
the numerous restaurants by the harbour. Closed November to March.

Porto Cristo
If you head down
the east coast about 15 kilometres from Cala Rajada and you come to
the resort of Porto Cristo. Not as popular as some of the mega
resorts nearby, Porto Cristo has a decent beach and is close to the
well known Coves del Drac.
Hotel THB Felip
This four star
hotel is located near to the beach in Porto Cristo. Recently
re-furbished, this 100 year old hotel now offers comfortable
accommodation is all 88 of its rooms, which come with a bathroom,
heating, air conditioning, mini-bar and satellite TV. Each room
also has a balcony, though the nicest overlook the sea. The hotel
has a heated covered pool and a Jacuzzi, as well as a sauna and a
Turkish bath. If you want to workout there is a gym.
There are several
places to eat at Hotel THB Felip. For snacks there is a
bar/cafeteria and a buffet-styled restaurant. The hotel’s á la
carte restaurant is out on the terrace where you can dine and enjoy
the lovely view of the harbour at Porto Cristo.
